The R Villa Swantika occupies a single-level footprint of 220 square metres along a quiet lane off Jl. Sempol in Pererenan. The architecture favours clean geometry — flat rooflines, wide-framed doorways, and smooth rendered walls painted in a neutral palette that draws attention outward to the garden and pool rather than inward. Surfaces are kept spare: tiled floors run throughout for coolness underfoot, while full-length openings between the living area and the outdoor terrace dissolve the boundary between inside and out. Air conditioning keeps every room comfortable through the humid Bali afternoons, and the private pool sits at the centre of the outdoor space, edged by a maintained garden with enough shade to sit in during the middle of the day.
Pererenan itself sits just north of Canggu along Bali's south-west coast, and in recent years it has found a quieter rhythm than its more developed neighbour. The streets here carry a mix of family compounds, small warungs, rice-field edges, and a growing number of cafes and studios that draw a mostly local and long-stay crowd. The beach at Pererenan is a short ride away — wide, black-sand, and far less trafficked than Echo Beach.
